Bio

Ana Cecilia Cedillo is a communicologist with a master's degree in political analysis and information media. She worked for 17 years at Grupo Reforma until a tragedy led her to activism from non-fiction cinema: in 2010 she was an incidental witness to the murder of Jorge and Javier, two students from Tec de Monterrey, and gave a testimony for the documentary Until The Teeth (2018) that tells that story. Having verified the power of impact campaigns led her to leave journalism to collaborate with the documentaries Volverte a Ver (2020), CRUZ (2021) and the Good Pitch Mexico training program. She is also a member of IMPACTA CINE, the first Mexican collective specialized in advocacy campaigns. He believes in the power of cinema as a tool for change and loves to share these experiences.
