After several years as a freeleance Impact Produer, Ged founded Cosmic Cat Films, an impact distributor based in Glasgow, Scotland that specialises in dramas and documentaries that have compelling social impact potential. Notable titles in recent years were HotDocs BestInternational Documentary Winner THE CLOSER WE GET (2015), Peabody / DOC NYC winning and Emmy / BAFTA nominated THEISLANDS AND THE WHALES (2016), EIFF Best Documentary winner DONKEYOTE (2017), BIFA nominated and BAFTA Scotland Best Feature Winner NAE PASARAN! (2018). Cosmic Cat often work in partnership with production companies and distributors in an impact producer capacity and have run national impact campaigns for StudioCanal, Dogwoof, eOne and many others. Ged is a regular collaborator with Ken Loach and Paul Laverty's Sixteen Films, having run impact campaigns for I,DANIEL BLAKE(2016), SORRY WE MISSED YOU (2019) and Ken's final film THE OLD OAK (2023).
