Bio

Hilary Moore is Producer of Shades of Survival, a feature-length documentary, dedicated to championing health equity for Black women with Breast Cancer. The film highlights the need for better healthcare in multiple African countries, educates on the best way to self-check, encourages seeking early medical intervention, and shines a spotlight on health inequity and systemic racism encountered by people of Colour around the world. Hilary drove production strategy, research and communication, as well as acting as a thought partner to the Director in creative aspects. She has also been the screenwriter, collaborating with Victoria Ekanoye to develop the script for narration, and write two original poems used in the film. Hilary is currently driving the impact strategy for Shades of Survival in Nigeria and the UK, with hopes to scale impact to other countries in 2026. She is also continuing to act as producer for other films for the same Production House - Creative Rhino, partnering with her film director husband, David Ayeni. Films currently in development include 'In Diaspora' - a stereo-type busting profile of African immigrants, and 'Black on the Catwalk' a celebration of African creativity, heritage and perseverence. Hilary has a PhD, MA, and EMBA. She has lived in three continents and worked in over 20 countries as a communication expert. She has published six books across a variety of genres. Three are children's books dedicated to Brave Strong Girl characters, the profits of which go to the Malala Fund. Hilary was also a founding board member of two women's charities. She provides pro-bono communication training and is a mentor for the Amos Bursary, which rewrites the narrative for students of African and Caribbean descent in the UK.
