His films, explore themes of redemption, resilience, and faith, amplifying voices often overlooked in mainstream media. As a filmmaeker, he emphasises collaborative storytelling that priorities authenticity, ethical engagement, and social transformation. Beyond filmmaking, Joel has extensive experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, having worked across Uganda, South Sudan, South Africa and the East African region to design and implement impact frameworks for humanitarian and development programs. His expertise lies in using data-driven approaches to assess the effectiveness of projects, ensuring that interventions lead to real and measurable change. Joel’s passion for justice-centered storytelling drives his work in impact production, where he bridges the gap between media and advocacy.
