Bio
Sophie is an impact producer and creative strategist who bridges institutional advocacy with entertainment-first storytelling. She began her career at Reuters as an event/broadcast producer covering sustainability and corporate accountability, before joining UNICEF to develop their global communication and advocacy strategy through to 2030. At UNICEF, Sophie led the organization's first foray into branded podcasting, conducting extensive audience research to develop an entertainment-first format that would seed child rights messaging to younger audiences. She also supported development of inclusive storytelling guidelines for multimedia campaigns globally, in an effort to help the organization modernize narratives that could inadvertently reinforce harmful power dynamics - something she studied in a BA/MPhil in contemporary literature and digital discourse at Cambridge. Since transitioning to independent production, Sophie has secured roles as an associate producer on a high budget political documentary, co-producer on a self-originated documentary about religious influence and digital creators, and co-producer/creator of a British reality competition series (all of which are either in development or production as of August 2025). She is also writing a novel on how authoritarianism reinforces harmful gender dynamics in marriage, and has award-winning poetry, short stories and artwork exploring harmful narratives women and girls are confronted with online. As reflected in her work, Sophie's interests span making the UK creative industries more accessible, unpacking manufactured authenticity in digital spaces, addressing multilateralism in crisis by restoring confidence in democratic institutions, and uplifting women and girls - all while prioritizing the entertainment value needed to get impactful storytelling into the mainstream. Sophie's production experience spans concepts for scripted limited TV series, podcasts, reality/competition TV, and documentaries. She is not confined to one genre because she believes the greatest potential for impact lies in entertainment-first messaging that transcends mediums to meet audiences where they are: seeking compelling stories, open to learning but not necessarily looking for lessons.
